Phone call from DWP re Mandatory Reconsideration

Hello, today I received an unexpected phonecall on my mobile from the person dealing with the Mandatory Reconsideration of my ESA. In January I sent CFW questionnaire and had a face to face medical for review of ESA (support group).
In February I received news I had been moved to the Work Related Activity Group.
I sent a letter to ask for Mandatory Reconsideration.
Today I received this call. The lady I spoke to asked me in what grounds did I ask to be moved back to the Support Group. In my letter I gave the phone numbers of my GP and another 2 health care professionals. They were not contacted. It caught me unawares, I was experiencing anxiety and understood half of what she was telling me. I think she was asking me to withdraw the claim for Mandatory Reconsideration, because of lack of evidence, I heard that they had been very generous previously, and that I could loose my benefits all together...
Somehow it didn't feel right to receive a call like that. I asked her if we could talk another time when my advocate was with me, I understood she said it would not make a difference....
I tried to clarify if what she was saying is that she would recommend that I stay in the Work Related Activity Group, and that she would send me a letter with this information. I believe that is what she said she will do....
I am now anxious about this happening and what consequences it will have...
Any thoughts?

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

These phone calls are not unusual, although the DM trying persuade the claimant not to continue with their MR is not.

You say you sent a letter requesting an MR, was it your intention to provide further information or was everything contained in the original letter? I'm trying to understand if there are further actions in regard to the MR or whether this DM can simply go ahead and make a Decision on the MR!

If you weren't planning to send any more information then the next action is to wait for the Decision Letter on the MR.
