I am presently in ESA work-related group, I was taken out of support group almost a year ago. I wanted to appeal it but an organization called Every Pound Counts told me not to appeal otherwise i risked the chance of being put on JSA instead.

My concern now is that, I have come to the end of my ESA related group and i will shortly be getting a letter to sign on to JSA and I am very desperate and don't know where to turn, when i was under JSA I could not cope with all the pressures put on me by the Jobcentreplus and my mental health got worse and was suicidal.

I am registered disabled and in receipt of DLA which will be up for review soon but I don't know who to turn to for help to sort out this matter of ESA I am going around in circle. this will effect my present mental health and my disability can everyone help?

I assume that you are currently receiving ESA(CB) and are therefore affected by the 365 day rule on payments of this.

Have you checked whether you are entitled to Income Related ESA? ESA(IR) is dependant on your household income, your savings and assets, and any hours that your partner works. See

Asset rule for ESA(IR)

24 hour work rule for ESA(IR)
