DLA to PIP Success!

Want to thank everyone at B&W for the fantastic guides and advice. Without them I probably would have faltered at the first hurdle!
I spoke to DWP this morning and I have been awarded Standard Care and Enhanced Mobility! Yes, there are some inconsistencies on the PA4, but it is a good result and it has been awarded for 2 years.
As this is a migration claim, am I due any back pay? And if so from when?
Will this PIP enhanced mobility award help me to get a home visit or paper based assessment on my imminent ESA renewal?

That's terrific news, well done.
I'm afraid there is no back dating when the claimant is being moved from DLA to PIP, even if the award increases.
I think that the Mobility award will certainly help you get a home assessment, you will need to provide Maximus with the information as they will have no knowledge of your PIP award. |As to a paper assessment, the reasons you have been awarded PIP may help with this, but the ESA criteria is sufficiently different that a PIP report can not in itself replace the requirement for a face to face.

Would Maximus need a copy of the full report or just a copy of the decision letter?
I would also like to say I have the Dr's on board again. My complaint resulted in apologies and a refund of the Dr letter fee!
Just one thing about my PA4. There are incorrect things in it like I am married, which I am not, I gave up a photography career when I became ill, I didn't I was my mum's carer, and other bits of incorrect assumptive info, which actually lost me a few points on daily care but I don't want to go rattling sticks at snakes. She also mentioned the pinch and grip test but never touched me.
Would it be wise get a letter on file with DWP correcting these? Or will they not be interested? I am a stickler for accuracy and recorded the interview in the hope it would be reported correctly. The assessor was spot on with the mobility info but assumptive and just plain incorrect on many areas of the daily living.

You really need something that explains why you received an award, rather than a statement that you did, so if you think that the PA4 does this then include it as part of your ESA evidence, but if you do then draw the attention of the assessing you to the relevant parts of the report, or you risk it being ignored.
I'm afraid there are no mechanisms available to correct errors in the report other than through an MR. You could write a letter to them but you risk a DM deciding that an MR is required whether you have requested it or not.

The report clearly states I get breathless and pain with walking, standing and sitting and I got descriptor E between 1-20 metres. "Reliably" is also stated so, that should help with the fact this is a fluctuating condition.
I could just do without the stress of another assessment so close.

Don't forget that ESA is a Mobilising test so you must also explain why you cannot use a wheelchair.
