Upcoming assessment was created by eusabius
Hi. I'm a new subscriber to the site, and will be downloading some of the guides. But I was just wondering if anyone out there could offer me any tips/advice. I have an assessment coming up on May 2nd. It's my first one, as previously the ESA50 form has twice been enough to get me into the Support Group without being called in. I'm not sure why it's different this time - I filled in the form in the same way, and sent in accompanying supporting evidence from my psychiatrist, as before. I suffer from severe depression and have a mixed anxiety disorder. I am dreading it. Thanks.

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

There is a section in the ESA guide that explains what to expect at a face2face assessment. It is more usual than not to have one of these assessments, so try not to read anything into it.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa1

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your ESA without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Thanks for your reply and for the links, Mrs Hurtyback. I have now altered my name settings and bookmarked this topic.

Just want to be clear on a few things: So when I use this topic to ask another question and then submit, does it appear at the top of the list of topics again? And if my question is about the same claim but isn't about what's in the title (e.g., Upcoming assessment), isn't that confusing for people? Or do you alter the title?

New posts will place your topic at the to of the forum again, when you reply to a topic you can change the title if you wish.

Replied by eusabius on topic Would SG to WRAG mean a drop to JSA rates?
I am currently in the Support Group but have an assessment next week. Am wondering whether, if they move me from the SG to the WRAG group, will that mean that I will then receive the new, i.e., JSA rate, of WRAG, or, because I am not a new claimant but would only have been moved from one group to the other, would I get the 'old' WRAG rate?
