What guide do I need please? was created by susan
Hi there, can you please advise me what guide I would require for completing the 'PIP 1021 Making sure your award is right'.
I was awarded PIP in 2016 after an appeal until March 2010.
Please could you advise me what guide would be the best help for me to complete the above PIP form because my condition has now worsened and I am hoping to claim the Enchanced rate for the Daily Living Component as my husband has recently had to take early retirement to look after me. My health is now much worse since the previous decision and appeal was made for PIP in 2016. We have written to the DW&P to inform them my condition has worsened and they have sent us the above form. Obviously I would like to make sure all questions are answered correctly in order to gain the enhanced rate, so I would be grateful for any advice. Thanks.

HI and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

You should use the most recent PIP guide. Don't assume that DWP know anything about your or your claim, nor that they will necessarily contact your medics. Provide all information that you want them to have.

You do not have to post messages multiple times. Even when the forum is open, there will be a delay before your post is made public as every one is read and approved by a moderator first.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
