As you have been invited to claim PIP as an existing DLA claimant then the PIP Regulations that control this process allow you to receive a PIP Mobility award even though you may be over the age of 65 when the Decision is made.

However, you need to be aware that this PIP Decision, subject to any appeal that you might make, will set the level of Mobility that you can receive in any future PIP assessment, so if you receive;

- an Enhanced award then you can continue to receive an Enhanced award
- a Standard award then can continue to receive this but cannot receive an Enhanced award even if you meet the criteria for one
- no award, then you cannot receive a future PIP Mobility award, even if you meet the criteria for one
