I'm sure the information is on this website but i need help with getting prepared with my tribunal that is on the 12/05. I did the MR and it still came back as no points for anything, then i sent of for appeal and received all the documentation through and the assessors report etc. What information should i be getting ready for my tribunal, i struggle at the best of times and am in a complete mess on what to do, should i write why i think i should be awarded for each descriptor and how the assessor has got it wrong?

It says any additional evidence needs to be sent 7 days before the hearing, I've already sent psychiatrist and CBT letters saying how i struggle with OCD, anxiety and depression. I'm totally disheartened, the assessors report basically made out i was fine because i responded to the questions, said i looked healthy and had no cognitive impairment. I have a lifetime of history with my problems and now its come to the last chance saloon of the tribunal. What can i be doing now to make my case as strong as possible? Sorry for rambling!

The appeal is your opportunity to re-present your claim from scratch, although the panel will still pay attention to the assessors report they will do so with much more balance that the DWP Decision Maker.

It may not be a case of sending new evidence but rather making sure that you have properly explained your limitations in completing each of the PIP activities.

I would go back through your PIP2 with the assessment report and our PIP Claim guide to ensure that you have shown that you meet the legally defined criteria. Remember to take account of the use of "reliably" and "on the majority of days".

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help you.
