Why didn't you save yourself the hassle and photocopy everything before you sent it in to them?
That's what I do.

I do have the copy, but thought I read you can ask for the one you sent back, as they write notes and such on there it would be good to see what they have put. Also I would like to see my GP report, because I have a condition called chronic cluster headaches, but he doesnt seam to understand the condition very well (my consultant says most GPs dont)so would like to see what he put.

Hi Les,

You can write and ask for copies of any of the documents the DWP hold which are about you, including your GPs report.

They will be copies though, not the originals.

I've never come across a decision maker writing anything on a claim form: they know that the matter may be subject to appeal and it would look very bad if a DWP employee had scribbled all over an original document.

DON,T DO IT.
I made a huge mistake in asking for copies of my paprework, they reassessed my claim and took away ALL my award.
I had been awarded HRM & HRC just 3 weeks earlier but backdated....they then retracted everything ALSO BACKDATED.
I am devastated and angry ,but mostly at muself for asking, why didn,t I keep my mouth shut.
Now I am waiting with dread each day incase the postman brings me a bill asking for the money they already gave me.
I know I have to appeal, but after all the stress I have been through only to throw it back in my own stupidity makes me feel almost like jumping off a bridge.
