I've recieved my renewal form and it's 39 pages long.
Yes, currently the DLA 580 is only being trialed in certain areas, with a view to going national !!

More information about the DLA 580 can be found in a recently released DWP Newsletter Advisory Forum News See Page 5.

Glad I've got the longer one and I'm still going to do additional pages about how my condition effects me.

I wonder what the DWP response would be if you were sent this "New" short form but you were to tell them you wanted the normal big form instead? This "new" form appears to be some con trick.

Hi

After the decision was made to stop my DLA I rang the DWP helpline at Blackpool and asked why they haden't sent
me the usual long questionnaire. They told me that this was a new form for renewals, that they had scrapped the old long questionnaire to make things easier for people, and folk were expected to add extra info on sheets of paper. Jane

Hi,

Well as you can see from the link I posted, they've provided you with incorrect information.

New renewal claim forms for AA and DLA customers are currently only being tested in North East England, Greater Manchester and East Lancashire.

I do not understand this. If you were awarded DLA on your previous application and on the new 4 page form state "no change" surely you should receive the same level of award. Logical? or is something fishy going on?

That is exactly what I thought, stupid me was happy not to have 40 pages to do.
