TOPIC: INCOME SUPPORT STOPPED AFTER DLA DECISION

INCOME SUPPORT STOPPED AFTER DLA DECISION 7 years 6 days ago #13220

  • JANE FRASER
I have just received notification that my income support. will be stopped wef 18th February 2010 because the DWP have stopped my full care and full mobility wef 20th February 2010. This will also affect my council tax, so I'll have to pay that and disqualify me from a free disabled bus pass. I'll have to pay for prescriptions, glasses and dental treatment. I won't be entitled to any Income Support benefits whatsoever. By disqualifying me from DLA the government are saving at least £8400 a year.

If your not sure whether to challenge a DLA decision, then the above facts should help you make your mind up.

Has your DLA been stopped because of a review? If so then you have 1 month to appeal the decision notice and you need to complete and send of a GL24 which you can download from here.
