TOPIC: The Effect of Moving on DLA Renewal

Ok, Thanks for clearing that up. I think I'm going to have to stay in Birmingham till I complete the renewal then.

Thanks for your help. The support from the other members is a great help and I received alot of support that way earlier this year when both my DLA and ESA went to tribunal. The moderators did intevene to point out facts of the law and procedure which helped me to focus on what was important. I think I remembered the experience incorrectly. It was mainly the members who were giving support and moderators who made clarification on law and procedure. I apologise for this mix up.

I think I am starting to panic greatly about the whole thing because of how bad my claim was handled last year. If it wasn't for the information on this site I would not have known much about the law or how to complete the claim form. As the Welfare Rights officer filled mine out completely wrong, I would not have won my appeal had I not access to the correct information from this site.

I think that I need to be extremely proactive (even more so than last time) in this next claim as I cannot afford to rely on anyone else doing their job right.

I found the form to complete to give to your health professionals extremely helpful and I will be completing one again for my doctor so that if the forms reach him he has the right information.

I'm also going to keep a health log (I find this really hard to do)to back me up more.I'm going to have a care review next week done by the care agency, so when that's done I can keep a copy as evidence.

The process is so stressful that it makes my condition worse. I only hope that I get a longer award. My first one was just for 2 years.:(
