Can I tag onto the end of this to see if anyone (nudges Pete) knows if there's any source of info on the typical value of various disabilities on war pension eligibility. I've contacted the Legion, but they were vague. Is there a website where people chat about it? I want to claim but don't know if it's worth my while.
Hi Survivor

I've just been on the net and come up with:

THE VETERANS AGENCY HELPLINE 0800 169 2277
It is Freephone Number. They should be able to direct you to a Forum or send/give information.

ALSO: WAR PENSIONS HELPLINE 01253 858858

Best wishes

The second number you quote ''WAR PENSIONS HELPLINE 01253 858858'' has not been in use for over 5 years as it was superceeded by the 0800 1692277 helpline (it is in anycase 'number not recognised'if one tries to ring it).

Also the staff at the SPVA Veterans helpline can only give information on official MOD websites, none of which for obvious reasons, contain any form of 'forum'.

Please can I ask if you are going to answer postings, that only correct, upto date and verified information is given.

Regards

Pete
