Hi Sherlock,

I'm not sure where this thread is going, nor what we can do to help. ??

Personally, I don't think either ATOS nor the DWP have the resources to track all
of their claimants, and that's just the 2.5 million DLA claimants and the 2 million or so IB/ESA claimants.

I've asked Steve Donnison to look at this thread, for his opinion.

Kind regards.

Jim

Hi Jim,
I am pleased to see you are back on board and hopefully fully recovered.

Can i just clarify that i am looking for the opinion of members who have more auto electrican / security experience than i do.

And that although i appreciate your comments and i am happy for Steve to look at this. Can i just inform you that i may be of 'special' interest to the DWP ETC as i have well known media contacts and currently have a very strong case running against both the DWP and Medical Services. I have put this in the hands of the PHSO but in the mean time while they (Atos and DWP) run their investigation you will appreciate my safety concerns of their methods when it effects my family.

We had an odd problem on one of our cars where the car was breaking down 20 minutes after we set off for home.

It turned out to be something in the electronic management system that was only activated when the car was doing a warm start. I assume that the opposite could happen, that there is something that only happens from a cold start?

Other possibilities are that you are passing a radio source that is set to your cars "unlock" code, you could try having the keys reprogrammed or that there is a spare key lost down the back of a seat somewhere that is triggering as everything warms up.

Have you had the car from new, or have you only just bought it?

I don't get why anyone would want to track your vehicle. What relevant information could be gained by finding out where you go? Besides which, who's going to fund it? Even if the DWP thinks someone is involved in serious fraud, they don't follow them or observe them many times because they just don't have the resources.

I really think there are more plausible reasons why this is happening and that you need to get your doorlock fixed.

Hi Sherlock,

I have looked at this thread and decided to lock it as I feel that questions about how electronic devices operate is far beyond the scope of this forum.

Atos have no financial interest in or legal powers to investigate claimants movements and it is not conceivable that they would wish to do so.

I have never heard of the DWP putting forward evidence gained through the use of tracking devices. But if you are concerned that this may be happening and may be putting your family at risk it might be best to contact your MP and ask them to contact the DWP.

Steve
