Hi there
Any advice?

I have just this morning received in writing confirmation that " regrettably, durting the course of action any previous claims packs and medical eveidence were destryoed in error"
This negligence cost me dearly in health and I feel I am justified in seeking compensation from these people. My condition exascerbated to the point that I am now on 6 hours O2 theapy at home and can barely get from one level to the next in my home at 53 years old and with two children to look after I can honestly tell you I am afraid of not getting any better. Can anyone tell me how to start action for compenasation?

I'm afraid as moderators our advice has to be confined to trying to expand any queries about benefits guides in the members area.

For advice on how to claim compensation from the DWP for what appears to be negligence needs to be from a qualified solicitor.

Your local CAB will most probably have a solicitor who holds surgeries at their office on a fairly regular basis.

If they cannot help, I'd suggest you contact Community Legal Advice who will be able to put you in touch with a solicitor in your local area.

Hope this is of some help.
