Thanks Steve.

It's not immediately relevant, just something I'm storing away in my head.

I'm still toying with the idea of writing in to say I don't want higher care any more because maybe my CPN would get off my back if everyone agreed I'm not at risk at night, but I accept that if I do that, they could reassess my daytime needs, so the cooking test might be relevant.

Hi Survivor,

I would have sent you a PM but as not posiible if you read.

Just to give you an idea to consider.

When I gave my account regards to cooking on my DLA1, I didnt say my main proble was actually preparing and cooking and my reason is this.

While I suffer from a diabling painful and exhausting condition(s), which restricts me physically it dosnt always prevent me from trying, and try I do. There are times that I am totally unable but more typical I do in stages.

My main problems with cooking arises from the confusion and hardship of finding myself in a lot of pain at the finishing stages of a meal, dishing up. And at that stage I need to get to a seat to relieve so desperatly that I walk away 90% of the time and leave one ring or several rings on.This qualified me for LRC straight away on my last application.

So my point is, there are variuos reasons why someone would qualify under the cooking test, its not just cant cook wont cook, thats why its hypothetical and as a means of covering all disabilities. So while Daley is affected in her own way, I am affected in mine, both different, both relevant.

Good Luck

Kathy x

Hi, I just wanted to say congratulations on your success! I too have ME, for 10 years now and am currently trying to get things together for my tribunal, which is really difficult as I'm not well atm at all.

I will give the ME Association a try. I emailed the local CAB about representation - I'm too ill to get out of bed during their opening hours - but they've never replied to me!

Thanks for the info! xxx
