Can ayone help? was created by thinkiwill1953
Hello all,
tomorrow I have to attend a medical for my incapacity benefit. I am dreading it as I don't go out that often. The thought of someone firing question at me gets me a bit mixed up and so highly strung and excited. Also how many days does it take to see if you have passed or not. Thank you.

Sadly there is no way of knowing how long the decision will take as it can depend on a number of factors e.g. how busy they are. Hopefully it shouldn't be too long post medical that you get the decision.

You may want to read the kind of questions you could be asked at the medical. These are available from the Members Section.

Thanks Gareth for your reply, but I am just home from the medical, only took 25 minutes. Not many questions asked. Where do I click on to get to the questions on the members section.
Thanks again for replying to me.

The Incapacity benefit resources section can be accessed HERE.

Just scroll down to the document entitled "60 questions you’re likely to be asked at your incapacity medical" to see if you were asked the same questions at your IB medical assessment today?

If it is any consolation, I had my IB medical two weeks ago and received the results one week later. It also depends on how busy your examining office is.

Thanks to Gareth and smallpole for replying. Found the link Gareth. Was only in for 25 minutes, but it wasn't just a ? of yes or no, as if it was, I don't think this would have happened. (The lady said you will excuse me if I don't look up at you, I am listening, but typing all the time.) I must say she was typing all the time, when she asked me a ? as I answered her in as much detail as I could, she was busy typing away. Is this usual, as I was under the impression that she would only be ticking yes or no, and not letting you explain?
The office was jam packed, so I suppose I will have to wait some time for a reply.
