ESA Success....YESSSS! was created by wordy
Hi
I have just been informed that I have been successful with the ESA, I have been put in the support group. I would like to thank B & W for their fantastic guides/information. Without them I know I would not have qualified for ESA let alone the support group. I am actually in receipt of my ESA Medical Report and the ATOS nurse recommended that I should not be placed in the support group. The Decision Maker must have read all the evidence and thought otherwise..yeah.
I am currently appealing the DLA result, how I wish I had known about this site before I applied for that.

Many, Many Thanks B & W

Hi Wordy,

Congratulations. Not only getting into the support group, but against the reccomendation of the health professional - you must belong to a very tiny minority of claimants indeed.

Well done and thanks for sharing your good news,

Steve

Hi Wordy, congratulations and well done. I was in exactly the same position as you. I was put in the Support Group last April after having an ATOS medical, the result of which, surprise surprise, was that they recommended I would be fit to return to work within three months. Hmm. Anyway, the DWP did just the same as they did for you, ignored the recommendation and awarded me Support Group and highest rate ESA. However ..... just a friendly note of caution from a fellow claimant. Please don't think this decision means that they will now leave you alone, which is what I assumed - they don't. Next year, you'll get exactly the same form to fill in and you'll have to go for another medical.

This is what I'm undergoing at the moment. Fortunately I photocopied last year's form and I've just copied that onto the new form. My medical is scheduled for 28th June and I can't wait to see what pearls of wisdom they come up with this time for .... exactly the same form and exactly the same condition! In the meantime, enjoy your year's peace and good luck with your DLA.

:)
