Incapacity Benefits Migration a question ? was created by originaldave
There is much on the web about dates when people will move from IB to ESA and it seems to be when your next IB50 is due, what about people on IB who dont get IB50's ? because they get higher rate DLA care or are registered Blind, when will they be looked at ?

ta in advance

Hi,

Unless there has been major change in the last two months, under ESA there are no 'exclusions' from the process for such as being awarded High Rate Care DLA etc.

The pilot migration in certain areas is due to start in October this year, with migration in full commencing early next year.

Whether the timescale is achievable only time will tell.

I know there are no exclusions I was just wondering when people with no review date will be reviewed

Does anyone know what date in October is the start date for the test migration?

I'm well overdue for my medial review. It will be a year this month that I was meant to have one. God only knows why they did this but I'm grateful for the respite.

I'm beginning to suspect that they're holding my case back till October so they can include, me in the first wave. :(

Hi,

Sorry,I missed the point of your query.

It is not a 'review' but a migration ie everyone eventually will be moved across from IB/IS to ESA. As to when individuals will be migrated, unless in the Pilot areas (Aberdeen etc) it commences next year. No idea as to 'the order of migration - it was originally going to be claimants under 25 first, but it seems that plan maybe dead and buried.

Pete

Edit to add, this DWP webpage gives some (not much) detail of migration:
