I have an appointment to see the local Aberdeen South MP, Anne Begg, this Friday and will be looking to find out what (if any) clarification she is able to give me about the IB migration process.

I haven't heard or read anything new/worthwhile on the process in recent weeks. National roll-out from March 2011, Aberdeen & Burnley from October 2010.

To be honest, your guess is as good as ours!. Unless you live in one of the ESA Migration Pilot areas (Burnley and Aberdeen where migration starts next month), then they should receive an IB50 and go through that process as usual.

However in some parts of the country the DWP are well behind with IB50s, medicals etc to the extent that some claimants were due IB50's in March/April/May this year and are still waiting. Some who sent IB50's in last year (2009) are still awaiting medicals. So, it does depend on what the situation is like locally to you and if they are behind, whether they migrate soon than later.

Sorry I cannot be more specific, but the situation is (quote from a DWP manager to me only last week) ''somewhat fluid''.
