I'm in two minds about ringing the DWP and asking where my review is as I'm not sure what to expect.

My instinct is to sit and wait it out, and see what happens when the s**t hits the fan when the big push starts up next year, but at the same time It would be good If I could be seen under the old IB regulations as at least I'd have a better chance of passing.

So Kerryman have you tried any follow up calls about whats happening about your review?

As to doing anything about it, *sigh* I strongly doubt it.

God, all of this is ruining the last semblance of mental health I have left. :(

my gut feeling is that staff are going to be used for IB to ESA reviews and people due for an IB review but not yet due to be looked at for ESA will just be left for now

so if your IB50 is due now but your not in a catchment area or group thats going to be actioned first you could be in for a long wait before you get done.

as for asking for your IB50 to be done now because your last review said they will look again in 5 years the letter 1081/ they send out says

Your case come up for review on date here
we may contact you again after that date and you may be asked to fill in another questionnaire or be called for a medical

so they dont say they will carry out a review just they might

Well that's us all b******d then.

That means that they're under no obligation to stick to any date and that they can drag this out until they're ready to swop us all over (or more likely fail the flaming lot of us) some time next spring.

No not heard anything yet.
One one hand i firmly believe i have a right to be assesed under IB rules
On the other hand i do know the DWP/ATOS can review you at any time they like.
As a exUnion rep i dont like dealing with the DWP/ATOS on the phone and i only use recorded delivery letters. If nothing else it keeps them busy.
I will now wait 12 weeks before i decide what to do.
I have a gut feeling they will award me 6 months or 1 year

If you firmly believe you will pass the IB test, and would normaly receive a long award i personaly dont agree with the advice of sitting tight and doing nothing.
lets face it, THE DWP/ATOS know you are ill and are entitled to a IB award.
They are just playing nasty games with peoples lives.and trying to pad it out untill the new rules come into force.

Trouble is under these new harsher 'rule's god knows what any of us are entitled to.

I mean I suffer from a couple of chronic conditions that involve high levels of pelvic pain, and extreme fatigue urinary problems.

I'm sure that I'll be found fit for work under the new rules, where as before I wouldn't have been, but If they can by rights delay seeing me then there's not an awful lot I can do about it but sit tight, sadly. :(

I think you have nothing to loose by sending a polite recorded delivery letter to the DWP decision maker asking why they have not sent you a IB50 FORM.
The trouble to DWP/ATOS have is that they do not want people to appeal IB decisions just before a new system starts

Please please do not phone them up, try to get a written response
