GP contacted before ESA medical?

my GP got a form from ATOS in july about me. then, ATOS contacted him by phone. he said after a quick chat, he was told not to bother filling in the form as they have all the info they need.

as you all know, i have my ATOS medidal next wed.

i saw my doc today and showed him the letters about my medical. we had a good laugh at them (steve will understand that 1)

my GP then gave me a new sick note. i said it should be the last 1 with my medical next week. again we laughed and he said he'll give me another next month

I understand that it's possible under the Access to Medical Reports Act 1988 to stop the DWP from giving your medical data to ATOS. I believe it's also possible to ask your GP for access to the report before it goes off to ATOS so you can check it.

Can anyone suggest any wording for a letter to the DWP?

Hi, I completed my ESA renewal form a month ago, my GP has just received a request for info this week, I wonder why they have written to the GP after the form has been received, no word of an Atos medical yet, just dreading the envelope arriving.
