WFHRA Handbook query was created by RachelPotter
I have just read bits of the WFHRA handbook and was wondering if anyone knows if all ATOS assessors will have used this in their training?

And if so, can I state the lack of use of it in my appeal?

Best wishes, Rachel

"following careful consideration, it has been decided that the Work Focused Health Related Assessment (WFHRA) element of the WCA will be suspended for a period of 2 years. This will provide DWP with an opportunity to reconsider the WFHRA’s purpose and delivery. It will also improve the capacity to focus on and manage this change."

I got this from the Disability Alliance page. It says it has been suspended.
However. I would have thought the assessors will have covered this in their training.

Whether or not they use the handbook in training HCP's, if a failure to follow rules and protocols have occured, then you can refer to the handbook

Hi xfactor, thanks for the information, I'm still learning the jargon and am not there yet!

Does anyone know what training the ATOS people do get before they are 'let loose' on benefit claiments?

Is there documentation of it somewhere?

Best wishes,
Rachel

write tO THE dwp, or ask a friend to do it, and under Freedom of Information you should be able to get copies ofb training modules, but ATOS will not let you have a copy of LIMA Thats a certainty

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe that it is two days training culminating in a multiple choice question examination.

There was some information about this on the website about two years ago, but it may not now be available?

Hi Crazydiamond, thankyou for the information.

Just wondering if I could get hold of the training guide or anything about it.

I have stated in a previous thread that my GP, who has treated me for 15 years, would not contradict a registered nurse with 'ATOS training'.

I would like to see for myself what makes her imparticular, more medically qualified to assess my condition than my GP.

Also, what is potentially scaring him about contradicting her?

Best wishes,
Rachel
