As nice as it would be if someone came and rescued the UK from its debts, I rather think we can be sure we will be collectively paying. Global capitalisms first big crisis, Labours credit card frenzy built on over confidence and not putting 'a bit by' and this is where we are at. But of course as Alan Johnson said after the CSR "this is what many of the members opposite, not all, came into politics for ' (words to that effect) in identifying an ideological impetus to the CSR announcements and plans

Hi all, I read most of the House of Lords debate last night in which this information was given and no one seemed to fall off there seats at this news!

It seems to have been a ramble that was completely passed over, or is this just normal for Lords and Ladies?
