Time of payment after tribunal

I had a tribunal for the Mobility component of DLA and have been awarded the lower rate. Which I'm very please with.

My question is what is the time lapse between the award and payment likely to be?

Hi,

It is impossible to tell exactly. They may have to write to you first to confirm bank details and if you have for example been abroad or in hospital since the date of your claim (to prevent any overpayment of arrears).

The whole process usually takes circa 4 to 6 weeks. If you haven't heard anything in a few weeks give them a ring to chase it up.

Thanks, I'd hope they don't need to get my bank details again as they have them for a care compontent. Hopefully it won't be too long.
