Today I got a call from DWP asking me to clarify a few things which I did.

2 hours later I recieved another call and was informed that the original decision had been overturned and I was awarded LRC/LRM

RESULT

Thank you to all who have helped, without this site I'd have been lost xxx

Well done.

I guess the moral is not to take what the DWP say at face value, but to at least question its validity on every occassion.
