You would have thought so.. but this is ESA we are talking about here.. I have bladder incontinence.. cannot walk 5 yards without being in pain.. and I was still classed as having a limited capablity for work.. Hopefully the powers that be may read my form this time.. and I will get into the support group.. however I doubt it..

Please note that the revised WCA which is likely to be/has been adopted now no longer has a 'Walking' descriptor but a 'Mobilise' descriptor.

For more details please see "Even harsher new ESA medical approved" News item in the Members Only News Section.

The current criteria are as follows:-

Walking or moving on level ground. Cannot—

(a) walk (with a walking stick or other aid if such aid is normally used);
(b) move (with the aid of crutches if crutches are normally used); or
(c) manually propel the claimant’s wheelchair;

more than 30 metres without repeatedly stopping, experiencing breathlessness or severe discomfort.

The criteria will be changing but the new test is not law at this time.
