I got a letter from the tribunals on Wednesday which i didn't open till Thursday evening.

"We wrote to you on 25/11/2010 regarding your appeal and enclosed an enquiry form, which we asked you to commplete and return to us, to help us process your appeal.

We have not heard from you"

I sent it off last Tuesday over a week and a half ago.

The letter is dated 10 December and says i've 7 days or it'll be passed to the tribunal.

I went to Mind who looked at it and said that would have been cross posted ie because of the Christmas post they've not received it even though i sent it a week and a half ago.

My mind advisor isn't availble till Monday.

Because of my social anxiety am afaid to call up the tribunal service incase they think i've not got social anxiety.

Social anxiety doe's not necessarily stop people from using the telephone and you would be talking to a Clerk, not the Judge.

I would suggest that you phone them to make them aware that the form has already been sent.

Did you get proof of posting from the post office?

I rang them at 3:20pm saying i'd sent it a week and a half ago and the receptionist/secretary wondered if it had been cross posted and i gave the reference number and indeed they had received it saying i'd have to wait 6 months.

I asked if i'd get a letter saying they'd received it - told no.

I forgot to ask *when* they received it.

If it had been cross posted but they received it even today (or yesterday) then they would have already have sent off a letter apologizing for the cross post and I'd get it tommorrow or Monday?

I was thinking of leaving it till Monday when my Mind advisor could have rang them up. The Tribunals Service wouldn't have left me in the dark till even after then would they?

I posted it on Tues 7 December first class and their letter is dated Fri 10 Dec also first class but i received it on Wed 15 Dec. So it took 3 working days to get to me. So my enquiry form if taking 3 working days should have got there by Friday 10th the same day they posted their letter?

But that was last Friday. If they posted something on Tuesday 14th, i should have got it today. Enough time for a 2nd letter from them.

I just used the pre-paid first class envelope already provided.

Does that require a different envelope?

When you post a letter, you can ask the PO for a proof of posting certificate. It's free, and will confirm the date of posting if the DWP/TS claim that they have not received a letter.

As they received it I would presume it was received on time if they didn't say otherwise.

Good luck
