Hi,

First of all well done on attending your medical alone.

I can see you have some fighting spirit in you although you probably haven't thought about it that way.

I know you are worried about the outcome of the medical as anyone would be however people have been pleasantly surprised when they have received their results and you could be one of them too.

I can't see any problem at all regarding the couch you are worried about because as you said the doctor actually helped you get onto it.

I will be waiting for you to post again and wish you all the very best.

:) Thanks for your encouragement c00kered. I was so stressed before the medical and it has taken me quite a few days to come down from my heightened state of anxiety. Will let you know how i get on. Cheere

Report is full of inaccuracies. eg,
'i had no problems taking off my coat' reality , doc assisted me
'i bent down to put on my shoes with no problem'
Reality, I wore slip ons which i walked into!
'i was well dressed and well kempt'
reality, i had been onable to comb my hair that morinig so wore a wooly hat & showed him.
'i refused to squat' reality, i refused coz i did not want to fall.
'my right hand is normal' reality, i am due to have it operated on in three weeks time. the left hand when i have healed.
'i was not rocking, trembling or sweating' reality, i was resigned to my fate.

atos advise i go back to work in 3 months.

Maybe my fighting spirit has worked against me this time.

don't know if I have been awarded any points as they say a decision has not be made yet.
Goodbye DLA! Reading the report, I feel like a fraud. I must have been hallucinating all these years. Oh no I can't have been1 The doc said I had no hallucinations either. don't know whether to laugh or cry! NB It is 12 metres to walk around examination centre at norwich :)
As i am so well, i am now off to take part in a marathon!

Replied by RachelPotter on topic Re:requested and got my medical report in 2 days!
Hi chills, it sounds a lot like mine and many others.

Don't understand why you've got your report but no decision?

Maybe you will have to appeal, using the inaccuacies as a start.

Please let us know how many points you score!

Best wishes,
Rachel

Thank you Rachel. have been to GP this afternoon to find out if they had asked for info. No request has been made yet. My specialist either has not been consulted. Waiting to see if they take the recommendations of an ex army Atos doc before I appeal. But unfortunately as my interview was not recorded......? who will they believe?
