Refusing particular a Dr from Atos

Have you rejected the dr Atos has placed you with for home medical? If so what happened?


My long saga is continuing, my DLA appeal was adjourned for a medical. The decision was made last march so not really sure how that works but.....

Anyway I was advised to 'reject' certain dr's if I was given them for the medical. One being a grade 1 absolute no no...that is who they have given my file to, sods law.
Called and spoke to atos and a more sarcastic and unhelpful lady you will find it hard to meet. I told her that I am not allowing the said dr to examine me because I do not trust his reports. You cannot just decide you don't want a particular dr....er I am NOT going to accept him I told her. She sarcastically asked if there were any others I would reject so I said yes and gave her another 2 names for a list.
I asked about a particular dr who did examine me for a esa medical 6 weeks ago as I have been in hospital since seeing him and the consistency for me to see him would be helpful I think...she says you are not allowed to pick your dr, I am only trying to be of some help to both them and me.

So i have put it all in writing and ready to send to them and to the tribunal.

Doesn't it make you mad how they twist things when they want. The lady says DLA and ESA are totally different so your earlier medical has no relation....hmmmm how many people have lost one benefit or other from a esa / dla medical and vice versa? But when it suits them they are TOTALLY different all together and have no resemblence of each other...ha.
