If you right click on the link a context menu should be displayed. If you select "Open" it should open the document directly or if you select "Save Target As" then it will open a file save dialog for you to choose where to save it.

I tested a couple of files using IE8 with no problem.hi gordon i went on the help 4 claimants downloaded documents for appeals on esa but cant open then. have tryed on firefox and google but no joy
