There are medical (none sexual) items that can be used to help stop loss of control of the bowels. I wont go into detail but they can help but come with there own problems :) they are not on about pads or nappies

ok, having gone through the new proposed ESA test again, here goes, and arguments to illistrate.
HOW DID YOU ASSESS YOURSELF?
Did you assess yourself as being eligible for the support group on the grounds of:
a) Exemption: NO
b) Descriptors: YES
c) Exceptional circumstances: NO

Did you assess yourself as being eligible for the work-related activity group on the grounds of:
a) Exemption: NO
b) Points: YES
c) Exceptional circumstances: NO
d) Hospital treatment: NO

WHICH GROUP WOULD YOU BE PLACED IN?
Based on your self-assessment:
'you would be placed in the support group'

MORE DETAILS
Below is more information about the options you chose. Bear in mind it is possible to qualify for either group in more than one way.

The WCA is designed so that claimants who are eligible for the support group will also have met the criteria for the work-related activity group. Even though you have assessed yourself as eligible for the support group, it is useful to know the grounds on which you would be eligible for the work-related activity group too. This is because the decision maker may not agree with your assessment in relation to the support group, but may agree if there are different criteria you have chosen which make you eligible for the work-related activity group.

SUPPORT GROUP: DESCRIPTORS
You assessed yourself as being eligible for the support group because you are covered by the following support group descriptor(s):

Cannot understand a simple message due to sensory impairment, such as the location of a fire escape.

WORK-RELATED ACTIVITY GROUP: POINTS
You assessed yourself as being eligible for the work-related activity group because you scored 15 or more points.

You assessed yourself as scoring a total of 36 points for the following:
7 (a) Cannot understand a simple message due to sensory impairment, such as the location of a fire escape. 15

simple message often means, "it's over there gov," no good for a blind person, nor is, "follow the signs." I'd have to be shown where the fire exit was, hardly a simple message in my opinion.

8 (c) Unable to navigate around unfamiliar surroundings, without being accompanied by another person, due to sensory impairment. 9

I am blind, so unfamiliar surroundings are just that, i use a cane, which is not like using a dog at all. are the DWP expecting all blind people to use dogs now?

12 (c) Reduced awareness of everyday hazards leads to a significant risk of: (i) injury to self or others; or (ii) damage to property or possessions, such that they occasionally require supervision to maintain safety. 6
reduced awareness of hazards, yes, if things change in the work environment, i would need to be told they'd changed, shown where things were relocated to, etc. so that would be occasionally require supervision to maintain safety

(c) Is unable to get to a specified place with which the claimant is unfamiliar without being accompanied by another person. 6
again, unfamiliar places, i can't get to them without another's help, if i don't know them. thoughts?
