The medical assessor do push as hard as they can for a yes or no answer, or a rough estimate of time and distance...

this you have to be wary about. I still ended up saying I could stand in a queue for 10 mins?!!!

Unfortunately, you have to play the 'game' more than once to learn the rules!

e.g. do you go shopping?

I answered; I have it delivered.

Best wishes,
Rachel

I think the follow up question would be how do you order it?

If you can't be penalised for handling social situations, you'll get penalised for something else!

At least seem to now be asking around the questions. For example with the old test take someone who was suffering with mental illness was having troublesome thoughts at home and needed to get out. They get on a bus in an attempt to escape and stay there for most of the day...that person could be asked if they 'travel by bus' and would be lying if they said no? ... problem is when the underlying situation is not looked into...

You have to be careful of giving background information as they tend to represent it as they wish.

ie; how far can you drive?

Reply; I drove to my friends recently, an hours drive but had to stop half way as I was falling asleep.

Computer; can drive for over an hour.

My answer would now be, for no more than 30 minutes.

Hi Rachel I just posted on your other thread how strange! Yes I know that is what is stressful as it is not always easy to clarify when you are not given a chance...also sometimes I found they tried to put words into my mouth, for example my dp takes my child to school...'is that for convenience?'- No, because we wouldn't get there on time...so all the time you have to spell out the worst of it which is not nice!
