Indefinite DLA? was created by Debs424
I have lupus/sjorgrens syndrome/cfs and fibromyalgia and been unable to work since 1996. I am 55 years old. I claim incapacity benefit and DLA.

The last time I completed my DLA form, last October, I was delighted to be awarded higher rate mobility and lower rate care indefinitely.

Now reading all the news about the new PIP benefit I am both concerned and confused. Does this mean that my indefinite status will be void when I come up for a review?

I feel at the moment that anyone sick and disabled is under attack from this govt.

Any information on any of this would be most welcome.

An indefinite award has never really existed as the DWP randomaly re-assess claimants.

I am afraid, there is really no more info available on what is proposed than has been included in our newsletter.

The Bill has has only been presented to the HofC, there has been no vote as yet. There are clearly anomalies in the wording, that would be expected to be resolved before it continues.

It's wait and see :(

Thank you for your wonderfully prompt reply!

I'm going to try and be positive and take it that at least its not definite that it will change ... yet.

I shall just have to keep reading the newsletters.

Fingers crossed!
