Council Tax reduction, disabled people was created by vicfish37
Are there any pitfalls to avoid or published material available on guidance to applying for a council tax reduction as a result of permanent disability? I am a registered disabled pensioner.

depending on how many people are in the house and there ages there are differnt ways of getting a reduction
you can of course get a reduction if you live on your own if the only people in the house are you and a carer

if the house has been modified a special bathroom or bedroom then you can get down banded, you can also ask for help to make these changes if needed and then get the down banding carried out look on your local councils web site for information as to what they do in your area most areas do all the above some do more... for example 99% of councils disregard all of a war pension income some just £10 :(
