Migration from IB to Esa was created by ejay1001
Hi, my wife was due her IB50 early december 2010 and didn't recieve one she is usually assessed approx every 3 years and the IB50s are usually on time, she gets HRM, MRC, IS, IB and SDA,
because she gets SDA does this mean she will be one of the last to be transfered or are they all just taking longer than usual to send out forms as i can't seem to find a definate answer. Thanks

Unfortunately nobody including the DWP and/or Atos it would appear, knows what is happening with IB to ESA migration, judging by the conflicting information coming from the DWP in particular on this issue.

It has been intimated that SDA claimants would be the last to be migrated, but if your wife was due an IB50 in early December 2010, unless contact is made with the DWP, there is no way of knowing why the IB50 is now overdue and whether your wife is now being subject to the ESA procedure?

In view of the absence of any definitive answer to your enquiry, I think it is best to let sleeping dogs lie in the current situation, as any contact with the DWP may stir up the proverbial hornet's nest, and as previously stated, you/your wife may very well be none the wiser as to when she may be migrated to ESA?

My IB was due for review Dec 2010 too. To date not heard a thing. I can only assume that as I was near to 2011 they have deferred it to include the IB to ESA migration.

Just waiting now for the brown envelope. :(

I believe they stopped making new IB assessments as of 28th February.

My impression is that once they start a re-assessment they are committed to seeing it through, so your IB should be re-assessed. They certainly can't switch you to ESA without you being sent an ESA50.
