I think I see what you mean being too scared or anxious to plan a journey or follow though a Journey because you don't think you can't cope with getting on to trains, buses on your own is not really planning as its physical side I'm worried about if I can do it or not . Ok I think that helps me know a bit better now About planning and following a journey . That I won't score any points for that - Thanks Gordon :)

Hi again, I just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and still in shock about it. My Question is do I have to inform the ESA and DLA about it or can I just tell them when I get my reviews done next year ? Already in the support group for ESA and High rate mobility low rate care for DLA don't want to rock the boat before I have too, or will I get into trouble for not telling them I got this extra thing wrong with me now!

Many Thanks

The obvious question is whether your limitations in regard to PIP and ESA have changed?

If they have not then you do not need to inform the DWP.

If they have and I assume for the worse then it's up to you, the DWP don't really care in this situation if you opt not to receive a higher award, assuming that this would be the case.

For completeness, if your conditions have improved then you must tell the DWP.

My sister has just retired, on her first pension slip last week we saw that she is now getting a small carers premium of £10 a week for looking after me we questioned this with them as she hasn't Applied for this but they said it was correct. Do I have to inform the ESA that my sister is now getting this money for looking after me?

Thanks

Is the pension you mention the State Pension or an occupational one? If the latter then it is nothing to do with you or your ESA claim.

There is no care premium paid with the State Pension, is your sister receiving Pension Credit?

Was she receiving Carers Allowance when she qualified for the State Pension?
