Hi
Has the subject of the adjustable chair that the Dwp talk about ever been brought up in the forum

Is it a specially adapted chair at a work station that I am not aware of, or are they speaking about a riser and recliner chair

It is the sort of chair you would expect to find in an office, so the seat, back and arms should be adjustable.

what about a motorised reclining chair? how is this assessed regarding the "adjustable chair" for using at a work station?

It's not how the chair is adjusted that is important, just that it is adjustable.

Thanks Gordon. Is there any consideration between having to lie down on an adjustable chair I.e. legs mostly straight out and back rest tilted about 50 degrees due to lower back/pelvic problems? This is the only position i can "sit" in. Would this still be considered a "chair" position and suitable for a workstation.

I think it unlikely that this would be acceptable in a work environment but this is not tested, so you need to think about whether to argue that you can't sit in the chair in the first place.
