If you look at the requirements for this activity in the ESA Claim guides I think you will struggle to show that you meet them based on your post. You will be assessed as wearing glasses (if you use them) unless you can show that there are medical reasons why you cannot.

As Getting Around Safely is part of the physical section of the ESA test I would not expect you to score points if the underlying problems that require you take medication are for mental health issues.

The PIP Going Out activity considers cognitive, mental health and sensory issues.

Two ESA 50 forms , crossed in post
One from that maximus, chad
One replacement from Local Benefits Office dealing with my claim.

Two different return addresses both at separate buildings / sites

Not sure which addy to return form to & not sure if i am being paranoid.

the local office indicated if returned to them it would be a decision maker processing the claim, surly they meant form would be passed onto maximus?

Hearing now all too often DM are turning down claims After HCP have awarded. wondering if they're cutting to the chase!

Any input on the above?

I assume you have received these in connection with a re-assessment, a previous post from about 10 months ago says you expected to be re-assessed in a year, so the timing is about right.

I'm not sure why you have received an ESA50 from the DWP they are issued by Maximus, so it would be worth contacting the DWP to find out shy they have sent one and what you should be doing with it.

Am ESA Decision cannot be made without a recommendation fro Maximus, the DWP staff are not qualified to do this themselves.

There are no DWP statistics on how often a DM refuses an award when Maximus recommend one, but I would be surprised if it could be classed as "often". You need to remember that sites like B&W actually only represent a very small snapshot of those who claim ESA.

No need to ask dwp as i wrote they indicated if returned to them it would be a decision maker processing the claim.
i happen to think 3-4 out of 10 claims being turned down at MR is often, B&W is not the only site this is being discussed on, then there are real life people in communities up & down the Uk i and others am in contact with having this trouble.

Yes you assume correctly this is a ESA re- assessment ESA 50 form due to be returned shortly.
thanks anyway.

Hi c6,

Gordon was referring to ESA DM's going against an ESA assessor's recommendations of an award !

It seems that you are now referring to poor MR success statistics.

We are aware that MR success rates are currently pretty poor !!

Hi.

No i was refering to ESA DM's going against an ESA assessor's recommendations of an award.
Taking away awards granted by a HCP in favour of the claimant.

Why i am somewhat paranoid of sending ESA 50 form direct to dwp local office addresses that deals with my benefits.
Or it could be a good thing and i get a paper board award!

Who knows! either way my local office are cutting to the chase ! at least making out they are by "indicating"
