I'm afraid you need to keep sending the Fit Notes until your Tribunal result is actioned by the DWP and you start receiving your award, the ESA payment system requires an active Fit Note to release payments of the Assessment rate.

Hi, i am newly registered here and I have had exactly the same letter. I don't understand the context of the question on going abroad. do they mean going away for as long as four weeks at any time during the last 3 years, or do the mean going away on separate occasions over the last 3 years that ultimately adds up to four weeks in total?
I mean: abroad - 4 weeks in July 2014
or
abroad - 2 days, 2015, 4 days, 2015, 2 weeks 2016, etc = 4 weeks in total

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

You've actually replied to a topic from three months ago :)

To make a claim for PIP you need to be present and habitually resident in Great Britain. The question is about this.

Have a look at the PIP Claim guide for more details. See

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.

I still do not understand the context of the question about going abroad. I visit friends abroad each year but I have never been away for 4 weeks at a time. I was born in the U.K. And live in the U.K. My PIP appeal was from a claim already standing, I was not a new applicant

If you are an existing claimant then it is about you not exceeding allowable periods that you can be out of the country for.
