I had my assessment, I don't know how it went.

She came at 8:45 should of been 9:30am it lasted about 45 minutes
She could see I was in pain because I was downstairs and still in my dressing gown because I didn't have much sleep the night before and I stayed downstairs all night.

She saw my hands was swollen, She tried to put words into my mouth when she was on her laptop and she didn't seem to listen to what I was saying, My wife did say to her you don't want us to tell you something that's not true because the assessor kept on saying what I saying in her words, She didn't really do a physical on me just stand on one leg and then the other leg but she could see I was in pain, I was sat on a bar stool most of the time because I find it better for my back and knees.
She did say that if she thought of anything went she got home she would amend it when she gets home, I didn't think they could do that can they ?

She then said she was done and talking to my wife about the weather and that.
This is my first PIP assessment for the change over from DLA, I am on DLA lower rate forever but that don't mean anything now with the pip change over, I only updated my DLA in 2013/14 and I had a letter back saying everything was okay.
So for now I am playing the waiting game.

Could I send a PM to one of the MODS on here
I was told something the other day by the husband of one of the people that go to my pain clinic in confidence about what a assessor done at his wife's assessment at their home and i don't think its right.

I've given up trying to predict the result of an assessment from how the interview went. :)

Give it a couple of days and you can request a copy of the report from the DWP office dealing with your claim.

I'm afraid there is no PM facility on the forum.

Okay Thank you Gordon :)

Do you think they can amend their report when they get home because that is what she was saying to me, They could put anything down, But they do that anyway

What I wanting to know was but I didn't really want to post it on here for everyone to see but I wanted to know if you have heard of this happening at assessment before

The husband of the couple that I was talking to said that in his wife assessment the assessor was trying to sell her cream for her condition and said it would help her and they could have one sent to their address every month for a one off payment, I did say to him that some of the assessors are not doctor's and I don't think they could do that and told him to report it but he said they wouldn't want to make a fuss, But me and my wife thought we should mention it on here just to see if the assessor could do that, I personally think they shouldn't be allowed to do that surely. I didn't really want to post it on here because I think the couple are members and I didn't want to feel awkward when I see them at the clinic next.

They aren't allowed to do this and the couple should report them to the Assessment Provider.

Thank you again Gordon

When I see them next month I will mention it to them,I hope I can talk them around to report the assessor, Because i also thought it was wrong and i did say that to them,They are really nice couple and very private people that don't like making a fuss,But I felt that I had to mention it to you just to see if you have ever heard of this happening before because there is at least one assessor out there doing this right now and that is not good is it.

Thank you and I will keep you informed
