Hi

What is the latest development with regards to being able to the record

the ESA face to face assessment?

Do you need to get prior permission and do you have to bring

your own audio recorder for example.

Regards

There have been no changes to the recording of ESA assessments.

Permission has to be given in writing, Maximus should be able to provide recording facilities at their offices and possibly at the claimants home, if the claimant wants to do the recording then they need to provide a dual recording facility either to tape or directly to CD.

There's a template letter that you can use in the ESA section.

It could the type of recorder used by the police in interviews but it also could be two cheap cassette tape recorders.

Does that mean you have to produce two copies of the tape, one of which you keep and the other you give them?

Sorry, but I am a bit unsure.

You must record to two tapes at the same time, one is for your records and the other will be retained by the assessor and sent to the DPW.
