I'm afraid you really have to wait until you get a copy of the assessment report and can see what has been written!

You cannot score points in two activities for the same problem, it either has to be Toilet Needs of Treatment.

I've rung three times now to request assessment report and cannot get through. I'm put on hold and gave up after 25 minutes, today I decided to keep holding but got cut off after 35 minutes!
The health assessment has worried me as I'm wondering how much she actually knew about my condition. She seemed to think I had a colostomy and ileostomy which is impossible, it occurred to me after if she could make such an error, she would have no chance knowing what a fistula is. Oh well nothing I can do. Not sure if it's worth Pershing the request for the health assessors report but I'm thinking if I need to appeal then I am going to need it and it seems it takes weeks to arrive . Does anyone else have problems getting through? Do you ring capita or DWP PIP?

Thank you

Hi ww,

You need to ring DWP for a copy of the assessor's report, Capita do not keep them. Early morning is often a better time to try and speak to someone.

If you need to go to appeal you will get a 'bundle' of paperwork which will include everything you submitted and everything DWP has produced, including the report.

Hi - well I had the health assessors report and it was pretty fair and I thnk has got me enough points for both daily living and mobility, that is providing the decision maker follows the recommendations. My calculations gives 18 for daily living and 12 for mobility.
If the decision is positive, onthe basis I was only on mobility before, what date does the daily living award go from?
Plus the HAhas recommended a review in two years - don't quite understand this but ok - however how does that affect the motability scheme. I am in the scheme currently but assume onthe basis the PIP award is for two years only, I won't be able to have another car under the scheme ? ( on the assumption you have to have a three year minimum award to partake of the scheme? )

Thank you.

As you are transferring from DLA, your DLA will run on for 4 weeks, then the PIP decision will be put into action.

Regarding the Motability scheme, you can lease a car as long as you have 12 months of your award left.

Ok thank you Mrs. H.
I heard today thwtDWP tend to be dismissing the Ha report if they feel it's favourable, imnot sure this is correct and cannot understand how that could be as the DMs aren't medically trained are they, how much weight does the health assessment report carry? I worried as decision is taking a while even though they have had the report several weeks. Hearing that they can dispute the report or even ask for another assessment has totally depressed me!

Just wondered what your thoughts are please ?
