thanks gordon,
in my MR i asked them to reconsider there decision on descriptor 11 .b as i was only awarded 4 points,, and that i believe i should of been awarded 11f,,as i cannot follow any familiar route on my own and even if a member of family is with me as my anxiety and panic attacks get realy bad i need that person to be with me for my safety and for others as ive run onto a busy road before now without any concious of doing so as ime in such a panic i lose complete control of what is going on around me ,,it actualy says in the medical assesment that my agraphobia was supported from my GP and for the past 4 yrs do not go out after suffering PTSD due to a ex partner keeping me in his place with a shotgun to my head ,,since this happened ive been to afraid to go outdoors and it has got even worse as time has gone on through the years ,,it was only last september that i actualy was seen by mental health and was then referred to psyotheraphy ,had a assesment and ime now on a waiting list to start treatment ,its now 9 mths since assesment and still not heard back,. ime worried there isnt going to be enough medical eveidence to support me in the appeal , ive forwarded them letter from mental health and also the letter i recieved from the assesment appointment ,but apart from that that all i have to show them , .
thanks ,

Based on current DWP guidance I'm afraid you may struggle to show that you meet the criteria for (f), both (d) and (f) are considered to be issues of being able to navigate the route and are therefore linked to cognitive or sensory issues.

Your issues would be classed as mental health problems and the best you might expect to score on this basis would be 10 points for (e).

There is a section in PIP Claim guide that explains the guidance for these three descriptors and the arguments you can make which might help you to score the higher points.

thanks gordon, looked up on advice you given and whilst preparing for the appeal i shall state due to my condition i believe i should of been awarded descriptor {e} for activity,, i also suffer oestio athritus and wasnt awarded any point on that either , had {a} for that but i believe that with i should of had {b} as i can walk 50 metres but no more than 200 metres without a aid as i have to stop and rest due to fatigue and pain in my feet and knees,,, but would i be condradicting my self b y saying this as for the last 4 years i do not go anywhere ,ie; apart from which is not often ,a doctors appointment as unless i actualy have a lift with a family member who accompanies me at all times even in with the doctor ,, i cannot go otherwise , so would they maybe question ,, if i dont actualy walk anywer how am i to know i cant walk this far for descriptor on moving around ,, in the observation it was noted by assesor that i walked a normal pace from the front door to the living room which is just a few yards ,,i hadnt long taken painkillers before the appointment was due as it was early and the mornings are the worse so yes i wasnt maybe stuggling to walk like i am on very bad days but that doesnt mean ime fine every day and have no issues with moving around,. .
hope ime making sense now and not confusing you ,.

Yes, another route to an Enhanced Mobility award would be to also score for problems with Moving Around.

hi gordon,
i recieved my MR letter today from pip, it states the same as the origanal decision no awar ,ime not suprised by this as was expecting that to happen ,,, i wanted to ask advice basically ,,that since putting the origanal claim in for pip ,,not the; MR; ive seen my GP, ,and have been put on a stronger dose of antidepressant it gone from 150mg to 225mg,, ,by reading guides etc on here i know this wouldnt be taken into consideration if i was to appeal against this deicsion as i wasnt on this dose when applying for pip at the time ,, ive asked my GP if they could write me a detailed support letter and they said they only do a short letter saying your meical conditions and the medication you recieve ,, so in your honest opinion do you think ide be better off reapplying for pip again instead of going for a appeal, ? was thinking maybe ide stand a better chance starting all over again as i wasnt a member before and dont think i filled in the form in correctly after reading the guides on here ,, and also ime not sure if they would even let me reapply for it ,,do you have to wait for a certain ammount of time before you can reapply for pip again ? and do you have to have another assessment again and if so is there a chance you would have the same assesor as you had before ,
thanks,

Whether to make a new claim or appeal is a decision that only you can make.

Although your medication was increased after the decision was made it may be possible to argue that the deterioration occurred before then and therefore should be included in any appeal.

Conversely as you did not use the guides to complete the PIP2 you have been playing catch up ever since and this may weaken your case.

You can make a new claim for PIP immediately, there is no waiting period.

There is a possibility that you could be reassessed by the same person, without your making a complaint against them, you may struggle to avoid them.
