hi gordon , /mrs h,.
i rang the tribunal to chase up about the submissions i had sent in 2 weeks ago,recorded ,, the gentleman i spoke to said that they have recieved them ,so i asked do i recieve a letter back to confirm as heard nothing ,and he said no it all ready now so next i will recieve is a date for attending ,, ,, is that the correct information he told me ,as i thought they were suppose to send me copies of my submissions and evidence i sent back to me ,,and also to the dwp,,

I am very surprised that they have told you this, all documents submitted for an appeal are supposed to be copied to all three parties so that everyone at the hearing has the same set of documents in front of them with the same numbering, if there is any discrepancy in the documents that you and the panel have then it almost certainly will result in an adjournment.

I would leave it until after the Bank Holiday, but if you have still not received your latest information back, I am afraid that you need to contact the TS again.

hi gordon , thanks for your quick reply,. ,i just rang them again now and spoke to a very helpfull lady ,she said they have recieved them and dwp have also replied back to them and i should recieve the paperwork in due course,, she also was kind enough to check how long it approx wouold be until the tribunal and said i been waiting 7 weeks so far so she said i should get a date within the next 7 weeks time,. ,i aslo explained ime agrophibic and getting there is going to be diffivult as cant use public transport and have no transport ,,she said i could ask for a telephone appeal because of my condition, or they will pay for a taxi,, do you have any idea wether this actualy has positive outcomes by telephone or would it be similar to a paper appeal in statistics,.

We don't hear of phone hearings often - although we do have another member who is waiting for one at the moment.

I would think that the percentage chance is slightly reduced from an Oral hearing because they won't see how you might struggle at a hearing but the important thing is that they will be able to ask you questions, so I think your chances are still far higher than they would be if you had opted for a Paper hearing.
