No, the clock has stopped ticking now that you have submitted the request. However, the DM will not wait indefinitely so you should get this done as soon as you are able.

Sorry, can the DWP make the MR decision before the month is up, or do they have to wait as I told them I would be writing with my reasons.

It seems to depend on when your file reaches the top of the pile. The MR will probably be carried out at this stage, whether or not your extra information has arrived. There does not seem to be any particular set time that the DM must wait.

Sent of my letter giving my reasons why I think I should have been awarded more points. Fingers crossed. Because of my reumatoid arthritis in in my hands this has taken most of the week to sort out and write down, plus extreme fatigue due to fibromyalgia, so fingers and toes crossed (if only I could)

Hi can someone tell me how long it is taking to receiving MR decision please. I did have a text from DWP 17th August saying that they are looking at it but have received no decision yet. Also as I received the full HP report too late to send another list of reasons why I felt the wrong entitlements were given, would it be beneficial to get on to this now as I am sure that I will most likely have to go to appeal. I worked from the DM report on the PIP decision before but now I have the full report I am so appalled by some of the things that the HP has written and also things that I said to her that she did not mention. Things like I walked to the assessment centre which is 300 metres with no problems. I had actually told her that I had to stop about 10 times because of pain in my leg and back and also severe fatigue. I have actually had the distance checked out and it is actually 193 metres not 300, where do they get their details from???? Lots of other discrepancies as you can imagine. I do get uplifted with other members successes so carry on the good work, your site has been so valuable to me and always will be.

Hi Tintin,

MRs are taking anything from a few days to several months. It certainly wouldn't hurt to phone DWP and ask what is happening.

As you have not had a decision yet, you could send in the extra information if you wish. At worst, it will be too late too change this decision (but would mean less to do for a possible appeal), at best it could help change the DM's mind.

Thanks for your kind words about B+W, we are glad that we have been able to help :)
