Hi Tintin,

Yes, it is one calendar month, from the date on the decision letter.

It is possible to withdraw an appeal request right up to the last minute (although I would recommend giving at least a day's notice if possible). This would not cause any future problems.

Hi Mrs Hurtyback, Gordon

I have received my appeal pack from DWP, when I appealed I submitted my grounds of appeal letter with the SSCS1 in which I put in my reasons of why I should receive more points but this was in a short version stating main points that I picked out as the majority of issues were stated in my MR letter. DWP have sent out their response to HMCTS disputing my grounds of appeal, does this count as my appeal submission now and that I do not need to send in a more detailed appeal letter to now dispute what they have put or do I just wait for my appeal date now?

Just a bit confused, sorry!

Hi Tintin,

If you have not already explained your case in detail then you should do so now - you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Hi Mrs Hurtyback
What I am worried about is that DWP have put that I should not be driving or that DVLA should be made aware if I am as bad as I say, but I hardly ever drive, only when I feel fit to do so and have never been told not to by my GP or consultant. I also work and they know that but are trying to put it that I would not be able to do the work I do 'administrator' if I cannot use my fingers and hands like I have stated. They know that I have every resource of help at work and also work a lot from home, not typing when I have a lot of
pain. Then on my medical report it is stated that I have poor grip and cannot lift my arms very well. Should I be worried. I got 11 points and standard award on daily living and no points for mobility.
I love doing some work and one day might not be able to so I do not want to make thing worse for myself.
Any advice would be appreciated from anyone.

I also wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happ New Year.

Thankyou

TinTin

Raise the issue with your GP, if they are happy for you to continue to drive then you can.

Hi

I haven't managed to put anything together to reply against the DWP as yet as my mum is terminally I'll and so ill that I just haven't got it in me to be able to think or have the time. I have not had a tribunal date yet but would it be possible to postpone to enable me to put something together to be able to answer why I cannot do the things that the DWP say in their submission report that I can do. Or do I just wait until the tribunal and try and explain at the time? This is so distressing at the moment.
