But they are not required to do so!

The letter is dated 28 July 2016. The new ESA reduction rate will take affect from the 26 July 2016. I received this letter on the 3rd of August.

My point is the reduction has taken place without advance warning! The DWP has already killed
a person with my condition! I have a life threatening condition that I have to deal with on a daily basis. I won't reveal my condition on a forum due to fraudsters and someone in the DWP stealing my identity.

Then make a complaint

Complaining to the DWP

Hi Gorden,

I did complain about the fraud/identity theft. This happened in 2009 the DWP back dated nine months money and claimed that all evidence of theft/fraud had been destroyed due to data protection acts. The DWP then gave a poor excuse of : it was a simple case of a clerical error regarding my N.I number.

The DWP then tried to reassure me that I had nothing to worry about as the fraudulent hardship loan had been refused. The DWP offered no explanation as to how someone had managed to change my home address to a city I've never lived in. To make matters worse I had to prove I had never moved from my current address.

What I have noticed since my identity was stolen : the DWP no longer send out letters to me that contain my bank details and claim this is for security reasons!

I've today 24/08/16 received my ESA 85 and the Decision makers reasons for moving from the support group to WRAG. I will update this post once I've read the reports etc.

Update : 24/08/16

Dear Folks/Mods etc,

On the 11/08/16 I sent a recorded Mandatory Reconsideration Request;
The DWP Mail handling centre received my request at 3:15 am on the 12/08/16.
In my Mandatory Reconsideration letter to the DWP I pointed out several reasons why
I believed I was entitled to remain in the support group.

I also requested a copy of the ESA 85 and a copy of the DMs reasons for the decision.

Today(24/08/16) I've received a copy of the ESA 85 And a very vague DM report!
The DM report states it's three pages long. However, the report contains only two pages.

The DM report starts of with.... Decision dated ... 07/06/13 I have no idea what this refers to!

The DM report then provides a brief history. During the brief history the DM admits I have problems with consciousness and that I've a significant disability regarding consciousness!

The report then goes on to say I wouldn't present a risk to myself or others. Despite the fact I've had my driving licence revoked because of the physical and mental impairment that occurs to me on a daily basis.

I have scored 15 points under the Staying conscious when awake descriptor!

All other descriptors have been ignored. I.e awareness of safety, every day hazards etc.

I could add loads more, but,I'm sure this forum has heard these problems many times in the past.

Finally, do I now request an appeal? I havn't received any notification of my Mandatory Reconsideration request. And have only received part of the information I requested.

P.s is it acceptable for the DM decision form to not be signed. Ie no name of the DM on the form.
No signature/telephone number. No initials. There are highliighted boxes for this information.

The only fields filled in on the(highlighted) form are my details and the office and date the decision was made.

To appeal you will need a letter from the DWP that says Notice of Mandatory Reconsideration, I'm guessing that you have not had this yet by your post. I would chase the DWP to find out what is happening with the MR.

I can't recall ever having a signed letter from the DWP, DMs normally act on behalf of the Secretary of State (this usually prompts someone to say that they have).

The points you scored placed you in the WRAG but this activity has no SG Descriptor, do you know how you qualified for the SG previously?
