Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

HI Feathers,
This has been a long process for you, hasn't it?! I think you can put this down to general overwork +/- inefficiency by the Assessment Provider and DWP.
I will offer cautious congratulations - but save the 'heart' on this topic until you let us know that the decision letter has arrived and confirms what you have been told.

Yes, wise advice Mrs. Hurtyback, not to count on anything from DWP unless it is in writing! I will keep my fingers metaphorically crossed. Thanks.

Finally have it in writing. Letter seems a collection of cut and pasted paragraphs, but does say 'you have been placed in the Support Group' and 'you are entitled to contribution-based ESA' so think I'm ok for now. Bizarrely the page explaining how the 'award' (strange expression imo) is worked out says the amounts apply November to 2 December 2016 and doesn't mention anything after that date... Hoping that refers to Christmas £10 (which isn't actually mentioned on that page but is elsewhere in the letter) not that I have to get back on the roundabout in couple of weeks. Thanks again to everyone at BW for all the invaluable help and support provided here.

Sorry, forgot to ask if you thought I should request copy of assessor's report, or wait until I am due for reassessment. I have never requested one before.

Congratulations on the award.
You can request the assessment report now by phoning or writing to the DWP office that is dealing with your claim.
