Hi hubby had his assesment this morning, .and have to say we have been left rather deflated if that makes sense. The lady came on time and was lovely. She said she was a nurse. She was in and out with I would say half an hour. We worked ourselves up to what we thought she would ask and in fact didn't ask an awful lot. She asked him what were his interests. Medication and side effects.Cooking she asked about. She asked if he could drive and had he got a blue badge. She asked him had he had his pain killers, which he had, so right she said I'm going to get you to do a few exercises. He did them in a fashion! as was worried about refusing. Afterwards he sat down and started to sweat which he told her. She then said right that's it. She didn't ask him about going out or even about his depression and his every day life. Just felt as much as we wanted it over and done with it wasn't thorough. She did say though that she had noticed we had sent in a lot of evidence. So thank god its over with after weeks of stressing and now we just have to wait. Just don't know what to think. Oh she did ask him could he use a phone! why I don't know..

Hi f c,

I'm afraid we have given up trying to guess the outcome from the way the face2face was conducted!

PIP results have been taking up to 8 weeks following the face2face - although things do seem to be speeding up slightly at the moment.

I realise none of us can guess the outcome, but does our assessment seem just the norm, as just upset that it was quick and didn't seem thorough Sorry for question, just anxiety working over time again! when now I think we should be relieved and stress free with it being over.

The assessor will stop once they have the information they need. A short assessment is certainly not necessarily a harbinger of doom.
