PIP timescales

Hi,

When I had my home assessment the assessor arrived slightly early whilst my wife was replacing my dressings so she had to wait for that. The total assessment took about 90 minutes and we made no special preparations prior to her arrival.
At the end she stated that she did not have to see the adaptions but we thought that if she saw them it might place them firmly in her mind.

I got enhanced both in the end.

Can I take in notes and what I wrote in response to the PIP form, or would it weaken my case to do that?

Yes, you can take notes with you to the face2face. However, you should explain from the start why you need to do this.

I've just had my PIP assessment. He said it was fine for me to refer to my answers (the ones I wrote on the PIP2).

I think it went better than I thought it might, he said he was going to put that I didn't need reviewing, but that the DWP review every 5 years anyway. I'm wondering if that's a good sign for the results? He also didn't ask about dressing my lower half, so I picked up on that and he said that it was obvious that I wouldn't be able to do that myself.

However, I'm confused by the musculoskeletal assessment. He said that it would come up to the decision maker as normal, but he would write that it wasn't normal due to jerking etc...so I'm confused!

Thanks Gordon. Do you know how long I'd need to wait before asking for a copy of the assessment report? (although I may wait til after Christmas anyway, if it's negative I wouldn't want to know before Christmas).
